  1. 01Explain it with a demo I can do at my deskVisualA concept makes sense in the lecture and falls apart when you try to use it.concept-diagramsArtifacts or CanvasCode and file creationFree
    Prompt
I'm studying [TOPIC, e.g. "torque", "osmosis", "refraction", "how a call stack works"] for [COURSE AND LEVEL]. I understand the definition but I can't picture it.

    1. Design a hands-on demo I can do in about 10 minutes with safe things from a desk or kitchen (paper, coins, a ruler, water, a phone; nothing hot, sharp or chemical). List the materials, then the steps, numbered. If the effect takes longer to show or might not work, tell me. If no honest physical demo exists for this topic, say so and give me the closest thought experiment instead.
    2. In each step, ask me to predict what will happen, but don't give the answer there. Put what I should see and why (two or three sentences per step) in a section at the very end called "Check your predictions", so I can do the demo first.
    3. Draw the setup (not the result, so the predictions stay mine) as a clean labelled diagram, with arrows for every force, flow or quantity that matters. If you can't show visuals here, describe it so I can sketch it in a minute.
    4. Map each part of the demo to the real thing: "the coin is the ..., the ruler is the ...".
    5. Name the one place where the demo is misleading, so I don't over-learn it.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Diagram: if you have the concept-diagrams skill, draw step 3 with it (one flat HTML file); otherwise as an SVG artifact or canvas.
    - Code: if you can run code and the demo has numbers (a balance point, a swing time, an angle), calculate what I should measure and add it to "Check your predictions", so I can compare.
    - Artifact: if you can make one, end with a small interactive version with one control (a mass, an angle, a stack depth) so I can test changes my desk can't. Otherwise, end with two what-if questions.

Keep the language plain. Use the course's standard symbols and units.

You getA 10-minute demo with predictions to check, a labelled diagram, a map from demo to concept and, with the right tools, the numbers to expect and a what-if control.

  2. 02The one-page explainer: plain words, analogies from your world, one trapThe textbook explains it in a way that only makes sense once you already understand it.Web searchProjects or GemsCode and file creationconcept-diagramsArtifacts or CanvasFree
    Prompt
Explain [CONCEPT] to me as a [YEAR OR LEVEL] student in [SUBJECT]. What confuses me: [WHAT CONFUSES YOU]. The part of my textbook or slides that lost me: [PASTE IT, or "none"]. Things I'm into, for analogies: [TWO OR THREE HOBBIES, JOBS OR GAMES, e.g. "basketball, my café job, Minecraft"].

Write it as one tight page (under 500 words), in this order:
    - The idea in one sentence of 25 words or fewer, with no jargon.
    - Why it matters: one real situation where it shows up.
    - Two analogies from the things I'm into. After each, one line on where the analogy breaks.
    - The precise version: the formal definition or formula, with every symbol or key term explained in a short table. If I pasted a passage, translate its key sentence into plain words.
    - One worked example, step by step, with real numbers if the subject uses them.
    - The most common misconception, and how to tell you've fallen into it.
    - Three quick check questions, with the answers at the very end after a line that says "Answers".

Then ask me to explain the idea back in two sentences. When I do, tell me what I got right and the one thing I missed.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Search: if you can search, check the precise version against a standard textbook or reference and cite it with its date or edition. If you can't, say so and tell me where to check it.
    - Project: if this chat is in a project with my course files, use their notation, definitions and examples, so the page matches what my exam will use.
    - Code: if you can run code, run the worked example's numbers so every value is exact.
    - Diagram: if the idea is a process, cycle or graph, add one small labelled diagram (with the concept-diagrams skill if you have it, otherwise an SVG artifact or canvas). Skip it if words do the job.

Use short sentences. If the concept is too broad for one page, ask me which part to start with.

You getA one-page explainer with analogies from your own world, a checked definition and worked example, self-check questions and a teach-back.

Small business

Turn what you know about your business into decisions, dashboards and done work.

14 prompts · Shops, studios, trades, agencies, cafés and online stores.

Have your recent sales, costs and statements ready; a project with your P&L helps.

  1. 01Knowing my business, ask me the 10 questions that matter mostYou're busy in the business every day, and nobody asks you the hard questions about it.Projects or GemsCode and file creationDrive connectorFree
    Prompt
I run a small business and nobody asks me the hard questions. Act as a sharp advisor who has run a business like mine.
Use what you know from this project's files and our conversations. If you have none of that, use this:
[MY BUSINESS IN 3–5 LINES: WHAT WE SELL, TO WHOM, WHERE, TEAM SIZE, ROUGH MONTHLY SALES, WHAT WORRIES ME MOST]

First, a 5-line summary of my business as you understand it: what we sell, to whom, how we make money, what's going well and badly. Mark anything unsure with (?). Don't fill gaps with guesses; the questions will.

Then ask me 10 questions, one at a time, waiting for each answer. Each message is just the question: no preamble, no praise. The questions should:
    - Target the decisions with the most money or time at stake, not general strategy.
    - Cover at least: pricing, my best and worst customers, where my time goes, cash, what I pay myself, and the one thing I keep putting off.
    - Get more specific as we go. If an answer is vague, push once ("roughly how many?"). If I don't know, tell me the quickest way to find out and move on.

After the 10th answer, give me:
    1. The 3 biggest opportunities, each sized in dollars or hours a month from my numbers, with the math in one line and any guessed number labelled.
    2. The 1 risk I'm underestimating, and its early warning sign.
    3. A 30-day plan: 3 actions I can start this week, each with how I'll know it worked.
    4. The question I answered least clearly, and why it matters.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Drive: if my Drive is connected and I name a P&L or sales export, read only that file before the summary, and don't ask what it already answers.
    - Code: if you can run code, size the 3 opportunities with code from my answers and show the calculation, rather than estimating.
    - Project: if we're in a project, end with a dated recap (summary, key numbers, plan) for me to save to its files, so next quarter's run can compare.

Never make up numbers. If a tax rule matters, say so and tell me who to ask.

You getA summary of your business, a 10-question interview, then 3 sized opportunities, 1 risk with its warning sign, a 30-day plan and the answer to revisit.

  2. 02A 13-week cash forecast I can update in 10 minutesVisualProCash surprises: a slow month, a big bill and payroll all land in the same week.xlsxCode and file creationCalendar connectorFree
    Prompt
Build me a 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast for my business that I can update every Monday.

Starting cash: [BANK BALANCE] on [DATE].
Money in: [TYPICAL WEEKLY SALES, SEASONALITY, INVOICES DUE AND THEIR DATES, HOW LATE CUSTOMERS USUALLY PAY].
Money out: [PAYROLL AND DATES, MY OWN PAY OR DRAWS, RENT, SUPPLIERS AND TERMS, LOAN PAYMENTS, SALES TAX / GST / HST AND INCOME TAX DUE DATES, SUBSCRIPTIONS, BIG PURCHASES PLANNED].
Minimum cash I want to keep: [MINIMUM CASH, e.g. one payroll].
If something is missing, list it as a missing input set to 0 rather than guessing, and name in the answer any that could change it. Treat sales tax or GST/HST I collect as money I owe, not money I have.

Start with the answer in plain words: the tightest week and why, the first week each scenario below drops under my minimum, and the three levers I have to fix it (for example chase invoice X, delay purchase Y, ask supplier Z for terms).

    Then the workbook:
    - An inputs tab where I change numbers once, and a weekly tab driven by formulas (no hard-coded totals).
    - Each week: opening cash, money in by type, money out by type, closing cash. Any week under my minimum turns red.
    - A chart of closing cash over the 13 weeks.
    - A scenarios tab: sales drop 20% (say which costs you assumed drop with them) and, if I invoice, my two biggest customers pay 30 days late.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Code: if you can run code, calculate all 13 weeks and both scenarios exactly, putting each payment in its real week, and check the workbook's formulas give the same closing cash.
    - Excel: if you have the xlsx skill or can create files, make a real .xlsx with named input cells, live formulas, red conditional formatting and the chart.
    - Calendar: if my calendar is connected, list the payroll, tax and loan dates in the 13 weeks plus a 10-minute Monday update, and ask me before adding them.
    - Otherwise: give me the weekly table and the formulas to rebuild it in Excel or Google Sheets.

You getThe tightest week and three levers to fix it, then a formula-driven 13-week forecast (.xlsx or a paste-ready table) with red-flag weeks, scenarios and the key dates for your calendar.

  1. 01Where did my money go? A one-screen snapshotVisualProYour balance is lower than it should be, and you can't say where it went.Code and file creationdon.moneyArtifacts or CanvasxlsxFree
    Prompt
Here are my bank and card statements for the last [NUMBER OF MONTHS, 2 OR 3 IS BEST]: [ATTACH CSV OR PDF, WITH ACCOUNT NUMBERS REMOVED]

Take-home pay: [AMOUNT] per [MONTH / TWO WEEKS]. Rent or mortgage: [AMOUNT], paid by [E-TRANSFER / ZELLE / AUTOPAY / OTHER]. Country: [US / CANADA].

    1. First, the date range and number of transactions you read per account, checked against the statement totals. If a page didn't read or totals don't match, stop and tell me.
    2. Then my 3 biggest wins: specific changes and what each would save me a month.
    3. Put each transaction in one category: housing, groceries, eating out, delivery, transport, subscriptions, shopping, bills, fees and interest, savings, income, other. Skip transfers between my accounts and card payments. Payments to people (e-Transfer, Zelle, Venmo) are spending unless they're to me; my rent amount shows which is rent.
    4. A snapshot as an artifact or canvas (or a compact table if you can't): money in, money out, what's left, whether each card balance rose or fell, spending by category as a bar chart, and the top 10 merchants.
    5. Flag categories well above the national average (BLS Consumer Expenditure Survey in the US, Statistics Canada's Survey of Household Spending). Call them household averages with the survey year, not targets, and never invent a figure.
    6. Recurring charges with their monthly cost, all fees and interest, and any charge that went up.
    7. Last, the 10 transactions you were least sure about. When I correct them, update the totals.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Code: if you can run code, use it to read every transaction and add up each account and category, so the totals are exact.
    - Excel: if you have the xlsx skill or can create files, give me the categorized transactions in Excel, with a totals tab that updates when I change a category. Otherwise, offer a CSV instead of printing every row.
    - don.money: if I paste a don.money report instead of statements, build the snapshot from its totals, subscriptions and fees, and say which steps need the full statements.

Help me lower my [INTERNET / PHONE] bill.

Provider: [NAME]. What I pay: [AMOUNT] a month (was [AMOUNT] before any promo ended), including [AMOUNT] for equipment or fees. What I have: [SPEED OR DATA, LINES, CONTRACT END DATE]. Customer for: [YEARS]. Where I live: [CITY, STATE OR PROVINCE]. What I actually use: [PEOPLE AND USE, e.g. 2 people, streaming and video calls, ~8 GB of phone data a month].

    1. Tell me what plan I actually need for my usage, and whether I'm overpaying for speed or data.
    2. Tell me what to check before calling (the provider's new-customer price at my address, competitors at my address, and line items I could drop, like equipment, paper bills or a missing autopay discount), and how to set a realistic target from what I find.
    3. Write a call or chat script: how to reach the retention team, my opening line with my numbers in it, what to say to the first offer, two follow-up asks (remove equipment rental, lock the rate for 12 months), and a polite way to end if they won't move.
    4. Write the plan B: how to switch provider without losing my number or ending up without service, and where to complain in my country if a provider doesn't honor its terms.
    5. Give me a reminder note to set for one month before the new rate ends.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Search: if you can search the web, find the provider's current new-customer price for my plan and 2 or 3 competitors' similar plans in my city (search by plan and city only, never my name or address), and set my target from them. Cite each source with its date and tell me which prices to confirm for my exact address. If you can't search, say so and tell me where to check.
    - Calendar: if my calendar is connected, list a reminder a week before my contract or promo ends and, once I tell you the new rate's end date, the step 5 reminder; add them only once I approve.

Be honest about what's realistic, and don't suggest lying about offers I don't have. Never present a price you haven't checked as fact, and never make up links.

You getThe plan you actually need, a target price, a word-for-word script, and a clean plan B.

Job hunt & career

Get the interview, do well in it, and get paid what you’re worth.

16 prompts · First jobs, career changes and raises.

Have your resume ready, plus the posting or offer the prompt asks for.

  1. 01Turn my experience into resume bullets that get interviewsYour resume lists duties ("responsible for...") and says nothing about what you actually achieved.docxCode and file creationDrive connectorFree
    Prompt
My resume lists duties, not results, and I want bullets that get interviews.

My resume, or rough notes on each role: [PASTE RESUME OR NOTES]
The job I'm applying for: [TARGET ROLE, e.g. "junior data analyst", "store manager"]
A posting for it: [PASTE A JOB POSTING, or "none"]

    1. First, interview me: up to 10 short questions in total, mostly on the roles that matter for this job, to dig out results I left out (numbers, before/after, who benefited, how often, how big). Ask them all at once, grouped by role, and wait.
    2. Rewrite each bullet: strong verb + what I did + the result, with a number wherever my answers give one. 1 to 2 lines each: 3 to 5 bullets for recent or relevant roles, 1 or 2 for old or unrelated ones, most relevant first. Show each old bullet next to the new one. If I gave a posting, use its words where they truthfully describe my work.
    3. Never invent a number or a skill. If a result can't be measured, describe the scale or the outcome ("for a 40-person team", "cut the backlog to zero"). Use estimates only if I give them, marked "about" or "~".
    4. Flag any bullet that is still weak, and what I'd need to find out to make it strong.
    5. List anything missing (contact line, dates, education, skills) and ask rather than fill it in. Then give the final resume: one page if I have under 10 years of experience, simple layout, no tables or columns, so applicant tracking systems can read it.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Drive: if my Drive is connected, read only the resume and posting files I name, so I don't have to paste them.
    - Word: if you have the docx skill or can create files, make the final resume a .docx (a standard font, real headings) ready to upload; otherwise give clean text I can paste.
    - Code: if you can run code, read the text back out of that file the way an applicant tracking system would, and fix anything that comes out missing or out of order.

Plain, confident English, no buzzwords ("synergy", "results-driven", "go-getter").

You getAchievement-based bullets shown next to your old ones, the weak spots to fix, and a clean one-page resume.

  2. 02Negotiate my offer: the number, the script and the emailYou got an offer, you're scared to lose it, and you're about to accept the first number.Web searchCode and file creationEmail connectorFree
    Prompt
I got a job offer and I want to negotiate it well without losing it.

    - Role, company and city: [JOB TITLE AND LEVEL, COMPANY, CITY or "remote"]
    - The offer: [BASE PAY, BONUS, EQUITY, SIGNING BONUS, VACATION, START DATE, ANSWER DEADLINE]
    - My situation: [CURRENT PAY, OTHER OFFERS OR INTERVIEWS, HOW MUCH I WANT THIS JOB]
    - Pay range in the job post: [RANGE, or "none"]
    - What I've already said about pay: [WHAT I SAID, e.g. "around $60k", or "nothing yet"]

    1. My number, first: a specific ask (not a range) and the lowest offer I should accept, with a short reason. If pay is set by a fixed scale (union, government, many hospitals and schools), say so and focus on step placement and extras.
    2. Market check: a fair range for this role, level and city: posted ranges first, then BLS (US) or Job Bank (Canada) wage data, which mix all experience levels (use the low end for entry level). Label any range not looked up "unverified estimate"; never present a figure as looked up when it wasn't.
    3. If salary won't move: what else to ask for (signing bonus, 6-month review, vacation, remote days, title, training), easiest to give first.
    4. A call script: open warmly, state my number, then stay quiet. Word-for-word answers to "What are you looking for?", "This is our best offer" and "We need an answer by Friday". If I already gave a number, show me how to move past it.
    5. A short, warm email I can send instead of calling.
    6. What NOT to say (my current pay is for your context only; never hint at an offer I don't have), and how to accept once we agree.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Search: for step 2, find current posted ranges and the latest wage data for this title and city. Cite each source with its date; if you can't search, say so and tell me where to check.
    - Code: if you can run code, compare the offer, my ask and any trade (say, signing bonus instead of base) in yearly and 4-year totals.
    - Email: if my email is connected, read the offer thread I name for the exact terms and deadline, and put the step 5 email in my drafts (draft only: I'll review and send).

You getYour exact ask and walk-away number, an honest market range, a call script, an email and the extras to ask for.

Renting

Find the place, sign the right paper, and get your deposit back.

16 prompts · Tenants, roommates and small landlords in the US and Canada.

Give your city and state or province. Drafts, not legal advice.

  1. 01Review my lease before I sign itProThe lease is 14 pages, the landlord wants it signed today, and you don't know what you'd be agreeing to.pdfWeb searchCalendar connectorFree
    Prompt
Review this lease before I sign it. I'm the [TENANT / LANDLORD], the rental is in [CITY, STATE OR PROVINCE], and it's [AN APARTMENT IN A BUILDING OF ABOUT ... UNITS / A HOUSE / A CONDO / A BASEMENT OR ROOM IN THE OWNER'S HOME].

[ATTACH THE LEASE PDF, or paste the text]

Start with a 3-line verdict: sign, sign after changes, or don't sign, and the clause that matters most.

    1. The deal in a table: rent, deposits and fees, cash due at signing, term, what happens at the end, rent increases, utilities, pets, subletting, notice to leave.
    2. Flag clauses red (likely not allowed here, or very one-sided), yellow (legal but costly) or green. Quote each, explain it plainly, and say if each red one is void even if I sign or worth changing first. For example, Ontario allows only a last month's rent deposit and a refundable key deposit.
    3. Use my state's or province's rules, and my city's if it has its own (Chicago does). Ontario and Quebec require an official lease form for most rentals, and British Columbia its standard terms: tell me if this lease doesn't follow what applies.
    4. What's missing (repair and emergency contacts, deposit return, a condition report, any notice the law says to attach).
    5. A polite message asking for the changes that matter most, in order, what to do if they say no, and whether I need a tenant clinic or lawyer.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - PDF: if you have the pdf skill, read every page, scans and addenda included, and give the page number with each quote.
    - Search: if you can search, check each red flag and this year's limits on official pages (tenant board, state, province or city), citing each with its date. Never search my name or address. If you can't, say so.
    - Calendar: if my calendar is connected and I sign, list the key dates (last day to give notice before renewal, end of term) and ask before adding them.

If you're not sure of a rule or this year's figure, say so, give the last one you know with its year, and tell me where to confirm it. Don't make up section numbers, form numbers, phone numbers or links.

You getA sign-or-not verdict, the deal and cash at signing in one table, clauses flagged red, yellow and green, what's missing, and a message asking for changes.

    • Never sign the same day under pressure; asking for 24 hours to read is normal.

  2. 02Viewing checklist and rental scam checkThe listing looks great, the price looks too good, and the "landlord" wants a deposit before you see it.Web searchArtifacts or CanvasFree
    Prompt
I'm looking at a rental in [CITY, STATE OR PROVINCE]. Here's the listing and what the landlord or agent has said:
[PASTE THE LISTING TEXT AND MESSAGES, or attach screenshots]

    1. Scam check: start with an overall risk (low, medium or high) and the main reason, then one line per sign you find: price far below similar places, can't show the unit, wants money (wire, gift card, crypto, Zelle, Venmo, e-transfer) before a viewing or lease, is "out of the country", pressure to decide now, a lease sent without meeting.
    2. How to verify: search the address and photos, check who owns the property (public records in many places), and what ID and proof of ownership to ask for.
    3. A viewing checklist: what to check (water pressure, mould, pests, noise, heating, laundry, locks, smoke alarms) and 15 questions to ask (what's included, utility bills, repairs, why the last tenant left, past rent increases, neighbours and noise).
    4. What a landlord can and can't ask me for here (application fees, deposits before signing, my SIN or Social Security number, questions human rights or fair housing laws ban).
    5. A short reply asking for an in-person viewing and the details I still need. If the risk is high, tell me to stop replying and where to report it.

Power-ups (use any you have, skip the rest):
    - Search: if you can search, compare the rent with current listings for similar units here, and search distinctive phrases from the listing to find copies posted under another name or price (never search my details). Cite each source with its date; if you can't, say so and tell me how to check.
    - Checklist: if you can make an artifact or canvas, make step 3 a tappable phone checklist with notes and a copy-all button; otherwise a list for my notes.

Never tell me to pay a deposit or rent before I've seen the unit and signed a lease (a legal application fee after a viewing can be normal). If you're not sure of a rule or this year's figure, say so, give the last one you know with its year, and tell me where to confirm it. Don't make up section numbers, form numbers, phone numbers or links.

Questions

The packs, your email and the tools, in plain words.

What’s in a prompt pack?

5 packs with 75 prompts, each written for a problem that comes back again and again: understanding a hard concept, chasing an unpaid invoice, finding subscriptions you forgot about, negotiating a job offer, checking a lease. Every prompt says what to paste in, which skill or visual tool makes the answer better, and what you’ll get back.

Is it free?

Yes. Your email unlocks every pack on this page, and you can download them as Markdown files to keep.

What do Visual and Pro mean?

Visual prompts come back with something to look at: a diagram, chart, dashboard or slide deck. Pro prompts are bigger jobs. They build real files (spreadsheets with formulas, decks, documents) or read a lot of data, like months of statements, so they take longer and use more of your plan’s limits. They work on any plan and run best on a paid one.

Which AI assistants do they work with?

Any capable one: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and others. The instructions are plain English. Where a prompt asks for an artifact, ChatGPT and Gemini use Canvas, and where it names a skill your assistant doesn’t have, the prompt already says what to do instead.

Do I need a paid AI plan?

No. Every prompt works on the free versions of Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, including the ones marked Pro, which just use more of your daily limit. A few optional power-ups need a paid plan in some assistants, like Claude’s skills or deep research; each prompt says what to do without them.

Will there be more packs?

Yes. New packs are added here first, and if you tick the box when you sign up, we’ll email you when one lands.

Are community skills safe to install?

Community skills are open source and not reviewed by Anthropic. A skill is a set of instructions, and sometimes scripts, that your assistant follows, so read its SKILL.md on GitHub before you install it, the way you’d check an app’s permissions. The official Anthropic skills are marked.
